Ranking Matches REPRESENTATIVE TEAMS The iinal ranking matches under the control of the Wellington Lawn Tennis Association for the purpose of selecting tlie teams to represent Wellington against Canterbury on January 7 and 8 for the Wilding Shield and Nunueley Casket, have been completed with the following results: — Men. N. Bedford beat R. Ferkins, 6-2, 6-4. X. Bedford beat D. G. France, 3-6, 6- 6-3. N. Edwards beat N. Bedford, 6-4, 4-6. 7E. A. Rousscll beat R. Ferkins, 8-6, 6-1. Women. Miss J. Burns beat Miss J. Douthett, 8- 2-6, 7-5. Miss F. Fernie beat Miss E. Plummer, 7-5, 4-6, fl-3. The Teams. The Wellington Wilding Shield team will comprise: N. Edwards, N. Bedford, D. G. France, E. A. Roussell. The doubles combinations will probably be: France and Edwards, Roussell and Bedford. The Nunneley Casket team will be: Miss F. Feruie, Miss J. Douthett, Miss J. Burns, Miss E. Plummer. The doubles combinations will probably be: Misses Fernie and Plummer and Miss Douthett and Burns. BROUGHAM HILL CLUB Saturday’s Competitions Following are the results of matches played on the Brougham Hill courts on Saturday:—■ Men’s handicap singles, 50 points advantage: N. Patchett (10) beat A. Jessup (16), 50-48. Final: N. Patchett (10) beat E. T. Pickcrlll (12), 50-39. ■Women’s handicap singles, 40 points advantage: Mrs. N. St. Clair Dickson (scr.) beat Miss J. Nicholls (81. 40-29.
