Motor Run On Burning Wood-Chips
(Received December 17, 6.50 p.m.) London, December 17. Mr. G. H. Donald, of the Princes Risborough Research Laboratory, has converted a 24 li.p. motor to run on burning wood-chips, doing 50 miles for the expenditure of sixpence. Other commodities that can be manufactured from wood are:—Sugar, chocolates, face powder, sausage skins, cattlecake, linoleum, creosote, and artificial silk.
