FORECAST FOR TO-DAY’S WEATHER.
Mainly Fair In Western Coastal Areas; Otherwise Cloudy To
Overcast.
Following is the weather report and forecast issued by’ the meteorological Office, Wellington, for the 24 hours ending 3 p.m. to-day:—
Au anti-cyclone still covers the Dominion, but it is centred to the south. Pressure is low to the cast and also over the greater part of Australia. Southerly to easterly winds; strong in a few exposed positions on the east coast and in the Cook Strait area, but otherwise light to moderate. A considerable swell south of East Cape; elsewhere in New Zealand waters seas
slight to moderate. Moderate easterly winds, later backing to northerlies, in the eastern Tasman Sea ,
seas moderate. Weather mainly fair in western coastal areas, otherwise cloudy to overcast and in places misty with scattered light rains-probable in eastern districts. Temperatures cool to moderate.
