(a) LOGGING ENGINEER. Professional or General Division according to qualifications; salary up to £615 p.a. according to qualifications and experience. It is desired that applicants should have had administrative and organising experience in logging work generally, also a good knowledge of detailed log costing and a practical working experience with high lead, ground skidding and tractor and with logging. (b) WOOD PRESERVATION ENGINEER. Professional Division, salary £445, maximum £490 p.a. It is desired that applicants should possess a degree in Science (with Chemistry to Stage iii), Engineering or Forestry, and also a wide technical knowledge of wood and some practical experience in some phase of woodworking. (c) ENGINEERING AND ARCHITECTURAL DRAUGHTSMAN. Temporary staff, salary £7 to £7/10/- p.w. according to qualifications and experience. It is desired that applicants should have had experience in both mechanical or industrial engineering and building work. SCHOOL MEDICAL OFFICER (female) (3 vacancies), HEALTH DEPARTMENT; localities to be decided later. The positions are graded in the Professional Division at a commencing salary of £51.5 p.a. rising by annual increments to £565 p.a., with prospects of an ultimate maximum of £665 p.a. It is desired that applicants should be fully qualified medical practitioners. The duties include the inspection and report on school buildings in regard to overcrowding, cleanliness, sanitation, lighting and ventilation ; routine medical inspection of school children; addresses to the children of the upper standards and periodic lectures on the health of children to teachers, parents and the general public.
