Miss Margaret Denton, Havelock North, is visiting Christchurch for the marriage of.her cousin, Dr. Hugh Parton, to Miss Jean Hounsell. Miss Margaret Robertson, Sydney, is the guest of her aunt, Mrs. L, G. Pope, Stratford. Mrs. Clive Coleman, Auckland, is visiting her daughter, Mrs. A. J. M. Goodwin, Palmerston North. Airs. A. W. Budge, Stratford, Is visiting Hastings, 'Airs. Treadwell, Taibape, Is visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Davidson, Feilding. Airs. C. Powell, Wanganui, is spending a holiday at Nelson. ■Mrs. L. 11. Davis, Wellington, is the guest of Mrs. Philip Levy, Christchurch. Airs. J. G. Young, Lower Hutt, left Wellington last night for Timaru, where she will be the guest of her mother, Airs. George Bowker. Airs. G. L. Bell, Wellington, is visiting Airs. Will Hutchens, Christchurch. Miss Lydia Sydney, London, who is visiting New Zealand, left Wellington for the South Island last night and 'will return on December 13. Returned to Wellington Mrs. Eric Lawson has returned to Wellington from a motor trip to Tauranga and the Bay of Plenty. Returned Home Mrs. W. 11. Simons has returned to Stratford after a brief visit to Featherston and Wellington. ■Airs. F. J. Nathan and Miss Al. Nathan. Palmerston North, who have been visiting Wellington, have returned home. Miss E. N. Hughes-Johnson, who has been spending two months touring and sight-seeing in the South Island, has returned to Wanganui, and is staying With her sister-in-law, Airs. G. N. ■ Hughes-Johnson, Gonville. Mrs. A. D. Hugo and her niece, .Miss P. Brown, have returned to Stratford after spending several weeks at Wellington. Mrs. J. AV. Spence, who has spent several weeks at Palmerston North, has returned to her home at Stratford. Returning From Overseas Colonel and Mrs. Redmond Neill, “Barrosa,” Mount. Somers, Canterbury, who have been visiting Britain, will arrive at Wellington by the Arawa today, and are expected in Canterbury to-morrow. Their daughter, Miss Josephine Neill, who went to England with them, is remaining a little longer and will leave on her return journey by an Orient liner in January. Miss Mildred Cooke, Christchurch, who has been visiting Britain, will arrive at Wellington by the Arawa today, and will spend the week-end with Mrs. Cheviot Bell at Lowry Bay, before going south. Her niece, Aliss Janet Cooke. Merivale. Christchurch, who went to Wellington to meet her, is the guest of Airs. Bell.
