CONSUL-GENERAL FOR WELLINGTON
Japanese Appointment Made (Received December 4, 12.5 a.in.) Tokio, December 3. Mr. Kiichl Gunji has been appointed first Japanese Consul-General at Wellington. He is at present ConsulGeneral at Singapore. Mr. Gunji was born in 1891, in Ibarakiken. He graduated from Chuo University in 1917. He began his career in Siam in 1925 and was appointed consul there in 192 G. In 1930 he became second secretary to the Embassy in the United States of America, and was transferred later to Mexico.
