Government’s Plan In Ireland

Dublin, November 27.
The Government’s plan for the new Senate will be on a corporative basis. Of the sixty-six members, eleven will be nominated by the President, six by the universities, twenty-one elected by the Dail and twenty-two by registered vocational bodies.
The candidates will be preferentially elected by five panels, representing cultural, agricultural, labour, industrial and administrative interests. Voting will be through an electoral college formed by members of the Dail and county councillors.
