A special concert in aid of the Robert Parker Memorial Fund will be given in the Town Hall Concert Chamber on Tuesday night by the Wellington Harmonic Society, under the conductor- hip of Mr. H. Temple White, assisted by a number of well-known artists All who were privileged to be associated with the late Mr. Parker in bis musical work Will doubtless welcome the opportunity to assist to fund by suporting the concert The choir numbers have been chosen from the society’s extensive repertoire by popular vote of its regular natrons, plus two new numbers to maintain the practice of giving something fresh at each concert. The assisting artists, too, chosen from many who would willingly help in such a cause, are among Wellington’s most popular musicians. Madame Evelyn de Manny, Mr. Leon de Mauny, and Mr. Claude J aul 'er will be associated in an .instrumental trio; Miss Ava Symons and Mr Gordon Short will Im? associated in violin and piano numbers; Mrs. Jau vt Hector wil contribute piauo solos; and Mrs. M title 1 Andrews contralto solos. In view of both the worthy object and the exceptionally fine programme to be presented it ;s honed that music-lovers will fill the hall, and intending patrpns aye advised to reserve their seats at Begg’s.
