RUSSIAN NAVAL BASE
Move To Ice-Free Port Contemplated

The "Daily Herald’s” Copenhagen correspondent says Russia contemplates moving her main naval base from tlio ice-bound, land-locked Kronstadt to Poljarno, a jiort free from ice throughout the year, near Murmansk, on the Arctic Coast, which is already populated by 100,000 workers building docks and completing a first-class base.
A chain of aerodromes uud an excellent railway connect Leningrad with Poljarno. 'Abe transfer would give the Acet continuous access to the Atlantic and further afield.
