Greytown W.D.F.U.
The final meeting for the year of the Greytown branch of the AVomen’s Division of the Farmers’ Union, presided over by Mrs. Beu. was well attended. Alembers stood in silent, sympathy with Alesdames Balfour. Bunny, Dyson. Johnson. Knell, Nicholls, and Standen, all of whom had suffered bereavement. Airs. Beu made feeling reference to the late Airs. W. Bey, and as a tribute to her memory Airs. R. Ingley sang “A’ale.”
It was decided to pay a visit to the inmates oE the Buchanan Home on Wednesday, December 8. A competition for a cushion was won by Mrs. Bareham. A musical programme, contributed to by Mesdames Webster, McMinn, Ingley, and Graham, was much appreciated. Mrs. Beu extended the season’s greetings to ail members and wished them health and happiness in the coming year. On behalf of the members, Mrs. McMinn reciprocated. A dainty afternoon tea was served by Mesdames Richards. Kiernan, York and Miss Udy. The singing of “Auld Dang Syne’’ and the National. Anthem brought to a close a very satisfactory year.
