Tlie largest church at Berlin, Saint Ihnmau’s, was filled to overflowing at tt service of intercession for 146 Protestant clergymen imprisoned for disobedience to decrees they consider illegitimate interference with religion. Three hundred pastors from all parts of Germany testified to the general indigation. The sermon referred to efforts to make those imprisoned recant, and promises of release if they did not oppose the Government in future. Representatives of each read out tlie names of pastors and laymen imprisoned. •It was announced that over 700 were arrested in a single day. Thirty were ordered not to preach, and 5C were expelled from their parishes. ORGANISATIONS BANNED (Received November 28, 7.30 p.m.) Berlin, November 27.
