RELIGIOUS SERVICES. J 0.0. F. HALL, ALLEN STREET. THE FINAITIECTURE of the series on “THE RETURN OF CHRIST TO EARTH” will be delivered (God willing) in the above hall on SUNDAY at 7 P.M. Subject: “'THE BLESSINGS OF THE MILLENNIUM.” “IN THY SEED (Christ—Gals. 3:16) SHALL ALT, THE NATIONS OF THE EARTH BE BLESSED.” (Gen. 22:18.) HAVING shown by last Sunday’s lecture that the real objective of Christ's return is to abolish all the existing “kingdoms of men” and set up the KINGDOM OF GOD on earth, the object of this week’s lecture is to show from the Serii»tures what conditions will prevail upon earth during Christ’s Millennial reign. It will be shown that some of the blessings of the next age will be: (1) “Glory to God in the highest.” (Luke 2:14, Numb. 14:21.) “The lofty looks of man shall be humbled, and (ho haughtiness of men shall be bowed down, and the Lord alone shall be exalted in that day.” (Isa. 2:11.) (2) Immortal rulers (Christ and the Saints), all embodiments of Divine wisdom and all possessing Almighty power to enforce it. (Acts 17:31, Zech 14 :9, Rev. 20:6, Rev. 5 :9-10, Rev. 2:26-27, 1 Cor. 6 :2, Isa. 32 :1, Hebs. 6:5.) (3) God-given laws. (Isa. 2:3, Isa. 33 :22, Isa. 42:4, Phil. 2:10.) (4) One universal religion—no sectarian strife, ignorance, or imposture. (Jer. 16:19, Isa. 25:7, Jer. 3:17. Isa. 23, Zcph. 3.9, Zech, 2:11. Hab. 2:14, Jer. 31:34, Isa. 42 :16, Zech. 8 :20-22, Zech. 14 :16-21, Isa. 66:23, Mai. 1:11.) (5) The abolition of war. (Isa. 2:4, Micah 4 :3, Psa. 46:9, Hosea 2 :18.) (6) “Peace on earth, goodwill toward men.” (Luke 2:14, Isa. 9:6, Zech. 9:10, Isa. 32:17, Isa. 11:1-10.) (7) No poverty or oppression. (Psa. 72.) (8) Justice for all. (Psa. 72:2, Isa. 11:1-4, Isa. 16:5, Acts 17:31.) (9) No sickness, with the consequent abolition of hospitals, asylums, etc. —mortal life creatly extended. (Isa. 33:24, Isa. 65:17-25.) (10) Thus through Christ God’s promise to Abraham will be fulfilled and “all the nations of the earth will be blessed.” (Gen. 12:3, Gen. 22:18, Gals. 3:8.) Jesus Christ, therefore, appropriately styled the coming age “THE REGENERATION” (Matt. 19:28), likewise the Anostle Peter, “THE TIMES OF RESTITUTION” (Acts 3:19-21). “GOD HATH APPOINTED A DAY IN WHICH TIE WILL JUDGE THE WORLD IN RIGHTEOUSNESS BY THAT MAN WHOM HE HATH ORDAINED. WHEREOF HE HATH GIVEN ASSURANCE UNTO ALL MEN IN THAT HE HATH RAISED HIM FROM THE DEAD.” (Paul—Acts 17:31.) Questions invited. No collection.
