SCOTS CONCERT ON ST. ANDREW’S DAY

Wellington Scots will hold their annual Divine service at St. Andrew's Church, The Terrace, to-morrow, at 7 p.m. The Rev. B. Kilroy will speak on “Scotland's Early Covenants and Covenanters.” Pipers will march from the G.P.O. to the service, and the readings will be taken in Gaelic and English. The annual St. Andrew’s Day concert in the Wellington Town Hall on Tuesday night will be up to the usual high standard, the Circassians, Orphanage Choir, Gaelic Club orchestra, combined bands and Scots College Band taking part. A troup of 20 dancers, trained by Mr. W. Boyd, will dance the sword dance, Highland fling and reels, in Highland costume. After the concert is over there will be a dance in the concert chamber, all Scottish and old-time dancing.. The Hon. P. Fraser, Minister of Education, is chairman for the evening. A souvenir programme to celebrate the advent of a Scots Queen to the Throne has been prepared.
