Repayment Of Deposit Stock By Telegraph—Press Association. Christchurch, November 26. The New Zealand Farmers' Co-opera-tive Association of Canterbury intends to repay £150,000 of the secured deposit stock, equal to one-sixth of the total amount outstanding. • Stockholders will bo asked to agree to the following proposals: That a ballot be taken for the repayment of £150,000; that future ballots lie held for the repayment of further sums at intervals at the discretion of the director;? after giving a minimum of six months’ notice: that repayment of the balance of the principal sums, or instalments thereof, be extended for a period of ton years from the respective dates of maturity after December 31. 1938 Whakatane Paper Mills, Ltd. (By Telegraph—Pr'-ss Association.) Whakatano, November 26. Ac the annual meeting of the Whakatane Paper Mills, Ltd., held at the company's office here to-day, about ICO shareholders from all parts of New Zealand were present. The managing director, Mr. 11. A. Horrocks, reviewed the past j-ear’s operations, and explained the progress of construction of the mill which, lie said, would be operating in five months’ lime. Mr. Horrocks replied to numerous questions to the satisfaction of all present. The meeting concluded with a unanimous vote of confidence in the directors.
