FOOD PRICES SOAR
Serious Drought In South Africa London, November 10. The Cape Town correspondent of “The Times” states that drought over the greater part of South Africa is causing serious anxiety. Food prices are soaring and butter is so scarce that exports have been discontinued. Supplies are being imported from New Zealand, and the British Government is supplying farmers with cheap maize to feed stock.
