BEAU PERE STOCK

— Will Successes Continue At Napier Park? (By Cabbine.) A question many close followers of racing are asking themselves is whether the stock of Beau Here can continue their all-conquering run by prevailing in the Juvenile Handicap at Napier Park this week. It is confidently expected in Hawke s Bay that two of the family—Beaupartier and Ivar—will run very prominently. Ivar belongs to Mr. F. Ormond and is one of S. J. Reid’s team. He is a bay colt out of High Art, who was by Leighton from Shrill, a good mare whose successes ineluded a Thompson Handicap. Ivar had a run under silk during the annual horse parade of the Hawke’s Bay Jockev Club at Hastings on .September 30. He made an excellent impression on that occasion, jumping away smartly and showing a clean pair of heels to the five others in the field. Among those who finished behind him were Merry Simon, who ran second at Hastings last week, and Rekahanga. who ran second to Tanrangi at the Wellington spring meeting. Beaupartier belongs to Mr. T. H. Lowry. He is a brown colt out of April Fool.’bv Chief Ruler from Miss Cute, an English’ mare by Charles O’Malley from Canny, bv Seaforth from Pawky, by Morion from Clever Girl, by Beauclerc. Beaupartier is bred for early speed, and his reputation is that he will live up to his breeding. Hawke’s Bay enthusiasts are looking forward to seeing him in action.
