Wellington Inter-club Matches SECOND ROUND RESULTS The second round of Wellington interclub croquet matches was played ou Tuesday. The lawns were in excellent condition, and many good games with very close finishes were witnessed. 'The following are the results to hand : — A Grade. —Section 1. Ixeiburn 2 v. Kelburu 3: Mesdames Prichard and Leadbeater defeated Mesdames Spence and Bush, 26-16; Mesdames Chetwin and Watkin lost to Mesdames Rofte and P’ope, 22-26. ■Wellington 2 v. Ngaroma 2: Mrs. Rowt and Miss Bates defeated Mesdames Franks and J. .Millar, 26-16; Mesdames Boocock and Clark defeated Mesdames Kerr and Marsden, 26-17. Central v. The next round for the Pollock Stars will be played at Hataitai ou Friday at 10 a.m., when Mesdames Bryan aud Aloeller (AVaimarie) will challenge the holders, Alesdames Brice and Richardson. Airs. Spence, Kelburu, will be the referee. AlcKenzie Cups. The first match this season for the McKenzie Cups was played yesterday on the Mount Victoria lawns. The challengers were Alesdames Gilbert aud Earl, Karori club, Mrs. Franklin and Miss Ritchie playing fur Alount Victoria, The latter players held the lead for a considerable period," und it was lack of experience that really lost them the game in the final stages. They only lost by four points. Airs. Boocock, AVellington, was the referee.
