BEST EFFORT YET
This Week’s “Radio Record” Featuring nine speciai-page articles by its favourite contributors, this week’s “Radio Record” is probably the best issue in the magazine's lively and colourful career. Together with these feature stories, which range from a shrewd observer’s views on Japan to a fantastically imaginative article by Evison Watt on Samuel Goldwyn’s idea of advertising from the Pyramids, the “Record” covers all the radio field in New Zealand. This week’s “Film Record,” by Gordon Mirams, and “This World of Ours,” by John Guthrie, are both as good as, if not better, than, any they have yet achieved. And the “Record” artist, McNamara, decorates the pages with a nimble wit.
