Drover Dies From Injuries By Telegraph —Press Association. Auckland, October 31. Severe internal injuries which proved fatal three hours later were received by Mr. Charles Herbert, 52, married, a drover of Panmure, when he fell from a moving train and under the wheels at Mercer station on Saturday night. The train was pulling into Mercer when the accident occurred. Mr. Herbert, who was apparently about to alight, fell from the carriage platform and rolled under the train.
