Car Crashes Over Bank Near Taihape
Palmerston North, October 18. Serious injuries from which she subsequently died were received by Mrs. Lucy Elizabeth Knight, aged about 70, a resident of the Ohingaiti district, when the motor-ear in which she was travelling left the road and careered over a bank between Mangaweka and Taihape yesterday. Her husband, who was driving, escaped with cuts and bruises and was admitted to the Taihape hospital. . It is understood that Mrs. Knight and her husband, Mr. E. G. Knight, sen., intended visiting their son, Mr. E. G. Knight, jun., at Hihitahi. Whether they were proceeding to Hihitahi or returning to their homo nt the time of the accident is not yet known. Mrs. Knight leaves a family of one sou and four daughters.
