At. the conclusion of the inquiry into the fire which destroyed tbe theatre at Blayney, near Batburst, the police magistrate fluid that Vincent James O'Neill, aged 32, aided by some person or persons unknown, had maliciously set fire to the theatre. O’Neill was committed for trial on a charge of arson. A cablegram received from Sydney on September 13 stated that the explosion which destroyed the Blayney theatre shook buildings for pome distance away.
