—frHarriers To Hold Bible Class Contest GOLFING PROGRAMME The annual iuter-denotninatioual interBible class harrier race will be held tomorrow at Lyall Bay. The course, of approximately three miles, will proceed along the beach, then skirt the golf course to Monorgan Road, along Broadway to Kingsford Smith Street, down Kingsford Smith Street to the beach, then along the beach road to Onepu Road, the usual finishing point. Any church Bible class may enter a team consisting of any number, the first four to count for placings. It is expected that about 80 runners will start. The Golf Card. Following is the golfing programme for to-day:— Paekakariki: Watt Cup match against Waiwetu at Paekakariki. Boulcott: A fourball best-ball competition at Boulcott. Waiwetu: Watt Cup match against Paekakariki at Paekakariki. Manor Park women: Fourball best-ball stableford for Mrs. J. L. Barnard’s trophy. Manor Park: 18-hole bogey competition. Karori women: A stableford competition. Titahi: October medal competition. Hutt: A foursome on the Hutt links. The following competitions have been arranged for to-morrow — Karori: Team will play Te Marua at Karori. Paekakariki: Team will play Otaki at Otaki. Te Marua: Team will play Karori at Karori. Otaki: Team will play Paekakariki at Otaki. Boulcott: A mixed Canadian foursome. Rangimarie women: L.G.U. medal round and second medal aggregate. Titahi women: L.G.U. medal round. Manor Park: 18-hole mixed Canadian foursome bogey. Titahi: Flag'competition and fourball bogey. Paremata: Team will play Athletic at Paremata.
Athletic: Team will play Parematu rl Paremata. Paekakariki women: Annual open daj for Paekakariki Cup. Road Cycling. The Poneke Amateur Cycling Club will hold a 25-mile senior and junior road ra, e to-day. The race, to start at 2.15 p.m.. will be from the Central Fire Station t" the V.I.C. stores, Lower Hutt, and back to the starting point. Handicaps will !"■ declared at the starting point. Association Fixtures. The Wellington Football Assoeiarioi will hold a five-a-side tournament at the Kilbirnie Stadium, starting at 1.30 p.m. The fifth grade cup semi-final repla,' between Mariet and Stop Out will be played at the stadium at 12.30 p.m. Racing. The Otaki Maori Racing Club is holding a meeting at the Otaki racecourse today. The first race will start at 12.15 p.m. Rowing Opening. The Wellington Rowing Club is holding its opening this afternoon. Bowling. The Seatoun Bowling Club will hold ite opening to-day. Tennis Openings. The Kelburn, Karori and Newtown tennis clubs are to hold their official openings I this afternoon. Indoor Bowls. The final games of the indoor bowling season will be played to-night. A good attendance at the Winter Show Buildings ia expected.
