Wellington Markets Dull

an easier tendency

A feature of the Wellington stock and share markets yesterday was a much improved demand for banks, quotations lor which, however, showed little change from late rates. Business was done in New at 44/3. Other sections of the market were (lull and the general tone was easy. Little interest was shown in Government loans or local body debentures. 1* inancial and insurance issues were quiet and barely steady. There was little demand for New Zealand industrials and most of the Australian issues displayed an easier tendency. , .
