DAMAGE TO SHOP WINDOWS

Vandal With A Diamond

From time, to time the windowscratching vandal makes his appearance in Wellington to amuse himself by damaging show windows in the principal streets. There are at preseni half a dozen shops in Courtenay Place the plate-glass windows of which have been cut by a diamond, or something equally effective. In most instances long horizontal slashes have been made on the windows, but in one case, that of a tail .'s shop, the vandal has executed a series of loops of considerable size.
