Returns to Wellington by

Awatea

Her Excellency Viscountess Galway, wife of his Excellency' the GovernorGeneral, returned to Wellington by the Awatea yesterday. Lady Galway has been Home on it health-recruiting trip and also to attend the Coronation, and has been away from New Zealand for months. On the return trip she left London on August 28, aud travelled by air to Sydney, connecting with the Awatea. Her trip from England to New Zealand took 16 days.

Other Travellers Mr. and Mrs. J. N. Greenland, Hobson Street, returned to Wellington from Sydney by the Awatea yesterday. Mr. Greeuland is general manager of the Union Steam Ship Company of New Zealand, Limited. Mr. and Mrs. 0. G. White, Selwyn Terrace, Wellington, were passengers by the Awatea, which arrived at Wellington from Sydney yesterday. Mr. White is a director of the Union Steam Ship Company of New Zealand, Limited. Mr. G. R. Ritchie, a director of the Union Steamship Company of. New Zealand, Limited, and Mrs. Ritchie, arrived at Wellington by the Awatea from Sydney yesterday, and left for their home at Dunedin at night. Mr. and Mrs. C. C. Odlin, Lower Hutt, were among the passengers who returned to Wellington by the Awatea from Sydney yesterday. They visited Sydney, Brisbane, Cairns, Townsville and McKay on a holiday trip. A visit was paid to the Barrier Reef, which Mr. Odlin considers to be one of ‘’the’’ sights of the world. Mr. and Mrs. F. Oakley, Palmerston North, who have been on a trip to Queensland, returned to New Zealand bv the Awatea yesterday. 'jlr. H. N. Kebbell, Alfredton, and Miss Barbara Kebbell, who have been on a visit to Australia, arrived at Wellington from Sydney by the Awatea yesterday. Mr. H. Digges-Smith, Talavera Terrace, and his daughter, Miss Moira Dlgges-Smith, returned to Wellington by the Awatea yesterday from Sydney. They have been on a trip to Singapore. Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Press, Eastbourne, who have been in Sydney for thefpast four weeks, returned to Wellington yesterday by the Awatea. Miss Winifred Lysnar, Gisborne, and her father, Mr. W. D. Lysnar, returned to New Zealand yesterday after a trip to Sydney and Adelaide. Mrs. Mark A. Toomey, The Terrace, returned to Wellington by the Awatea yesterday from Australia. Mrs. Russell Edgar and her two children arrived by the Awatea from Sydney yesterday to take up their residence in Wellington.
