Woodville Celebrations

Woodville, September 13.

A particularly busy week faces Woodville residents, and already a large number of visitors have arrived to participate in celebrations connected with the diamond jubilee of the school and the fiftieth anniversary of the borough, which commence on Thursday. The following is the programme: Thursday, school roll-call, speeches, evening social and two dances; Friday, school banquet, school fancy-dress ball; Saturday, procession of old scholars, tableaux, decorated vehicles led by the pipe band, sports, school road-race, borough banquet (evening) ; Sunday, combined church service. The gathering promises to lie the largest in the history of the district, and will be attended by old pupils and ex-residents from all parts of the Dominion.
