Probable Australian Clash

The "Daily Mail,” in a leader on a probable clash between races and the Australian elections, says: “Lest the serious-minded chide the Australians with hesitating between elections and races, lo; them remember that not so many years ago the British Parliament used to adjourn for (he Epsom races, and consider what shouting of the odds would mean in this country now If the Government fixed a general election for Derby Day.”
