WEEK-END ACCIDENTS

Car Capsizes at Petonc

Skidding in some loose metal at the corner of the Petone Esplanade and Jessie Street, Petone, a small car capsized on Saturday evening and two occupants were injured. The driver, Mr. F. Mclvor, soapmaker, 151 Hutt Hoad, Petone, suffered a cut on his left hand, concussion and shock, and a passenger, Mr. C. Mantel, motordriver, 172 Jackson Street, Petone. received abrasions on his left hand and knees. The Free Ambulance took both to hospital. During a football match at Kaiwarra Park on Saturday afternoon Mr. N. E. Bethell, draughtsman, 32 Trelissack Park Road, Ngaio, broke his nose and was taken to hospital. Through being knocked off his cycle by a motor-car at the corner of Cuba Street and Victoria Street, Lower Hutt, on Saturday night, Mr. David Hall, railway guard, 7 North Street, Petone, suffered concussion and shock which necessitated his removal to hospital.
