BUSINESS OF HOUSE
Tributes to Deceased Legislators To-day
Details of the business to be transacted by the House of Representatives during the next few days were given by the Prime Minister, Rt. Hon. M. J. Savage in reply to a question asked by the Leader of the Opposition, Hon. Adam Hamilton, at the conclusion of yesterday’s sitting of the House. Mr. Savage said that the usual tributes to legislators and former legislators who died during the recess would be taken to-day, after which an adjournment would be taken until Tuesday afternoon, when a start would be made with an Imprest Supply Bill. That, no doubt, would keep members fully occupied on Tuesday. The Ad-dress-in-Reply debate would commence on Wednesday, when only the mover, Mr. J. 'Thorn, and the seconder, Mr. J. Barclay, would speak. These speeches would be broadcast. Mr. Hamilton: Are there to be halfhour speeches? Mr. Savage: That depends on the Opposition. On Thursday we will take the Leader of the Opposition.
