Three Avro Anson bomber machines of one of the most modern squadrons of the Royal Air Force, viewed from a fourth as they flew in reconnaissance over the coast of Devon during recent manoeuvres. The manoeuvres, for the purpose of which the Royal Air Force was divided into two sections, Redland and Blueland, were carried out to test the efficacy of the coastal anti-aircraft defences.
