PROFESSIONAL WRESTLING

Three Bouts at Show Stadium To-morrow After to-morrow’s Rugby match visitors will find a wealth of diversified entertainment around Wellington, and one of the principal attractions will be, the wrestling programme at the Winter Show Stadium. There will bo two main events, the first of which will be of eight rounds between Steve Savage and Frank Bronowicz. Savage, out to defend bis premier position, will give Bronowiez all the trouble he wants. The second eightround contest will be between George Walker and Frank Judson. Walker needs no introduction, and Judson found immediate favour by his scientific and colourful performance in Auckland recently against Plestina. Snowy Bartlett and Peter Venter will provide the third contest, a professional preliminary of three rounds. Special arrangements have been made for the warmth and comfort of patrons. BLOMFIELD v. KIRILENKO ON MONDAY When Blomlield and Kirilenko were first brought together in the Wellington wrestling ring the display which resulted gave rise to great enthusiasm, and on Monday they will meet again at the Town Hall. Blomfield resorted to his ary aggressive tactics, while Kirilenko countered by employing a world of guile, remarkable speed and a flair for the spectacular mid unusual. He did so well against the New Zealand champion that when the referee decided in favour of a draw after the men hud secured a fall apiece even many of Blomfield’s keenest supporters were prepared to admit that Kirilenko had earned the decision. Kirilenko has made himself such a big, favourite in other parts of the Dominion that it is surprising that greater use has not been made of his services here. He has proved himself to be a great drawing card and a great wrestler.
