Reconditioning Four Vessels

The Walisend Slipway and Engineering Co., Ltd., have obtained important contracts for engine repairs and reconditioning of the four well-known Shaw, Savill motor-ships Karamea, Coptie, Taranaki and Zealandic, The Karamea reached London in June from New Zealand, and is scheduled to leave London on September 2 for Wellington and Auckland. The Coptic also reached London last June, but no_ advice has been received as to when she will leave England again. Hie Zealandic left Australia on July 24 tor the United Kingdom. At present she is scheduled to leave Liverpool on December 4 for New Zealand. The Taranaki left Australia on July 9 for the United Kingdom, and no advice has been received as to when she will make her next voyage.

ESSEX LATER. The Federal motor-ship Essex has been delayed bv rain nt Auckland and is now to leave there next Monday for AVellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin to complete discharge of her Liverpool cargo. She is now due hero next AVednesday morning. PORT DARAVIN DUE TO-DAY. From Montreal under charter to the M -A.-N.Z Line, the Port Line steamer Port Darwin is due at Wellington at 7 h.m. to-dnv and will berth at the Glasgow AVharf. She is to leave here again tomorrow for Australia to complete discharge. REMUERA’S DISCHARGE PORTS. The New Zealand Shipping Company’s liner Remuera, which is to leave London on August 19. will now discharge at AVellington, New Plymouth and Auckland in that order. She is due nere on September TAINUI FROM LONDON. The Shaw, Savill liner Tainui, which is to leave London on August 19. will not now call at Bluff. She is dtie at Wellington on September 27 to land passengers, and will leave again later the same day for Lyttelton, Dunedin and Napier to discharge.
