FAMOUS SURGEON
Coming New Zealand Visit A vice-president of the Royal College of Surgeons of England and an honorary member of the Academy of Surgery of Paris, Professor G. Grey Turner, M.S., F.R.C.S., England, will pay a brief visit to New Zealand shortly. He is due to reach Wellington on September 13, and to depart from Auckland on September-20. The object of Professor Turner’s tour is to preside at the surgical section of the Australasian Medical Association conference in Adelaide. He will open the Prince Henry Hospital in Melbourne, as a post-graduate centre, and deliver lectures, before the Australasian College of Surgeons in Melbourne and Sydney.-• Professor Turner was educated at the University of Durham, at King’s College, London, and in Vienna. He is now professor of surgery in the University of London. He has had a wide professional experience, has written several books, and has been a frequent contributor to surgical literature, as well as to Choyee’s System of Surgery. Travel and archaeology are his chief recreations. In 1908 he married Miss Alice Grey Schofield, B.Sc., Morpeth.
