FORECAST FOR TO-DAY’S WEATHER.
—« — Changeable, with rain at times; temperatures cool. Following is the weather report and forecast issued by the Meteorological Office, Wellington, for the 24 hours ending 3 p.m. to-day :— The recent depression is passing away eastward, but several secondaries appear to be advancing across the Tasman Sea. An intense anti-cyclone now covers Australia, with highest pressure over the Great Australian Bight. Moderate to strong south-westerly winds, turning temporarily in most parts to west or north-westerly. . Seas rough north of Farewell Spit and about Foveaux Strait; elsewhere in New Zealand waters moderate to rather rough, and increasing at times. Moderate to strong winds between south-west and north-west prevailing, with rather rough seas, in the eastern Tasman Sea. Weather changeable, with rain at times in most districts and some snow on the ranges; temperatures cool.
