WHY DO BOYS COLLECT STAMPS?
'“.Much is said about the promotion of geographical, historical, and ' other kinds of knowledge imparted to juniors by means of stamp collecting, but boys do not collect stamps merely to improve their geography.” So said Mr. Frank A. Godden, at the 24th Philatelic Congress of Great Britain, recently. “My chief recollection of early stampcollecting days was the desire to obtain a. larger , number of different stamps than any of my friends, and I am certain that all my boy friends had the same object In view,” continued Mr. Godden.
