PRESIDENT RESIGNS
Auckland Trotting Club Dominion Special Service. Auckland, August 4. After serving for 39 years on the committee of the Auckland Trotting Club, the last three years of which he was president, Mr. T.-J. W. Buxton to-day resigned from both positions. Members of the committee paid tribute to Mr. Buxton’s fine work and unanimously elected him as patron of the club. Mr. E. G. Bridgens, who was elected to the committee two years ago as representative of the Auckland Trotting Owners’, Trainers’ and Breeders’ Association, was elected president unopposed.
