Wanton Destruction of a Blue Heron

The Bishop of Chelmsford says the world is getting more brutal, nations are getting hardened to cruelty and drawing blood, and soon no form of life however innocent will be safe. —I am, etc., PIGEON. Palmerston North, August 2.
