YESTERDAY’S WEATHER
Wellington.— Though at times cloudy, the weather was clear and pleasant, with little wind. The minimum temperature on Tuesday night was 42.5 deg.; the maximum yesterday was 51.9 deg., and the temperature at 3 p.m., 50ileg. Palmerston North.—A beautiful day after a heavy frost; bright warm sunshine ; calm. Masterton. — Fine and sunny, with light passing clouds after frost of 5.5 degrees; northerly wind. Wanganui.— Wurm and sunny all day; light south-westerly breeze; barometer fairly high and steady at 4 p.m. Waipuiuirau.— Beautifully fine and sunny * with the glass steady. Napier and Hastings.—xk beautiful sunny day following a heavy frost. Auckland. — xkfter a tine morning conditions in the afternoon were showery and cold, with a fresh south-west wind. The barometer was steady at 5 p.m., the reading being 30.30 in. Christchurch. — The sun shone brilliantly in the morning but only intermittently in the afternoon. The wind changed from north-west to north-east, the maximum temperature being 49.5 deg. The barometer was steady at 30.21 in. Dunedin. — Calm and mild with overcast sky for the greater part of the day. The barometer rose to 30.19 in., and remained steady.
