WARM WATER AT NORTH POLE

From the North Pole radio station flashed a dramatic message recently. A stream of warm water has been discovered more than a thousand feet under the pole. The discovery has been made by the staff of the Hydrological Station set up by Proferror Otto Schmidt, the famous Soviet scientist who led the Russian expedition to the Pole. It was made when they were making tests at various levels of water from 1000 to 3300 feet below the icepacks on which Schmidt and hi§ helpers are encamped for a year. The current of warm water originates in the Atlantic Ocean, the Russians believe.
