LATE MR. C.I. DASENT
Funeral at St. Mary’s, Karori The funeral of the late Mr. C. I. Dasent, formerly mayor of Karori and secretary of the Wellington Acclimatisation Society, was held at St. Mary’s Church, Karori, yesterday morning, among the congregation being members of the society and old residents of the church. The Rev. F. M. Keinpthorne conducted the service. Interment was in the churchyard. The chief mourners were Miss Evelyn Dasent, sister of the late Mr. Dasent, Messrs. Wilfred and Gerald Dasent, brothers, Mr. Wilfred Dasent, nephew, and Mrs. W. Dasent, sister-in-law; The pall-bearers were Messrs. P. W. Willson and T. Andrews, Acclimatisation Society rangers, W. F. Newcombe, L. Davies aud Kenny. Messrs. A. Seed, J. S. Fleming, W. A. R. Jones, D. J. Gibbs and E. J. C. Wifiin, secretary, represented the Acclimatisation Society, and others present included Archdeacon A. L. Hansell, Messrs. B. G. H. Burn, C. M. Bothamley, T. Campbell, A. Henderson, G. Henderson, W. I. Clark, B. Burn, W. Low and W. F. England, Auckland.
