Six Columbia Productions Scheduled
part of the unusually busy summer production activities at Columbia Stiidios, six important features are set to"go before the cameras shortly, and a number of others are in advance stages of preparation and scheduled for early shooting. In addition to these, there are six new features now in work, which will soon be ready for the cutting department. Included in the first six are: “The Sound of Your Voice,” starring Grace Moore, with Melvyn Douglas playing opposite the star; “The Awful Truth,” starring Irene Dunne and Cary Grant, with Leo McCarey as the director; “Life Begins with Love,” which will star Jean Parker with Douglass Montgomery and Edith Fellows; “Thanks for Nothing,” starring Madeleine Carroll and Francis Lederer, which will be brought to the sere *n bv Elliot Nugent; “Park Avenue Dame,” starring Richard Arlen 'and Fay Wray; “Carnival Lady,” with an all-star cast, which will be directed by Lambert I-lillyer. Other pictures in preparation and scheduled to be started soon are an original musical written and produced b v Oscar Hammerstein 11, with an all-star cast; “The Winning of the West,” an impressive outdoor drama of pioneer days.: and an original story, as yet untitled. to star the glamorous European ■actress, Luli Deste,
