MONOWAI TO LIE-UP
♦ Berth at Evans Bay Wharf AORANGI TO RESUME RUNNING The Union liner Monowai, which made a voyage to Vancouver in place of the C. and A. liner Aorangi, is due at Sydney to-day and will leave again next Tuesday for Wellington. She will arrive here on Saturday, August 7, and after discharging will be laid up in Evans Bay. The berth at the wharf near the patent slip in Evans Bay is at present being deepened by the harbour board’s . grab dredge to enable the Monowai to be moored alongside. The C. and A. liner Aorangi, which has been undergoing engine repairs at Sydney, will resume running in the Vancouver service next week. She will leave Sydney on August 5 and Auckland on August 10 for Suva, Honolulu and Vancouver.
