GEORGE V MEMORIAL
British Government’s Gift (British Official Wireless.) Rugby, July 27. The Government has decided to make a free gift of all Slate property within the area at, Westminster selected as the site of the King George V memorial. The value of the gift is estimated at £BO,OOO. Tlie committee responsible for the memorial has set. aside for it £125,000 of the sum raised by public subscription.
