TO-NIGHT’S WRESTLING
The Wellington branch of the New Zealand Wrestling and Athletic Club will present three professional wrestling contests at the Wellington Town Hall tonight The main contest will be between George Walker and Frank Bronowicz, Bronowicz is one of the toughest men in the wrestling game, having defeated both the Zbyszko brothers for the title, and he -has decisions over many of the world’s best. Walker is at present.the perfection of fitness, and when fit he is an unknown quantity. In a six-round bout Louis Szabo (Hungary) will meet Tony Felice (Italy). This bout promises to be as full of action as the main contest. The opening preliminary will be between L. Douglas and George Baumann, the German strong man. MONDAY’S BOUT Wrestling in Wellington this season has never been in more popular favour than when Earl McCready, the British Empire champion, has- been in action. McCready will bo seeu in the Town Hall ring again next Monday night, when he will be opposed by "King Kong” Cox in a return bout. McCready embodies everything that is best in the sport, but his appeal is probably at its greatest when he is opposed by an antagonist of Cox’s type, a man who believes in making all possible use of the rules to counter any advantage which jis opponent may possess in wrestling science, 't’he first meeting between these two men was a memorable affair. Realising that perfect fitness is essential against an opponent so strong and. rugged as Cox, McCready is spending this week in a training camp in Auckland to tit himself for the fray. Cox, on the other hand, derived considerable confidence from the previous clash and will be extremely hard to check.
