Hawke’s Bay Owners Meet ACTION TO CURB THEFT Dominion Special Service. Napier, July 24. Losses of sheep by stealing was referred to in the report of the Hawke's Bay Sheep-owners’ Union at the annual meeting yesterday. It was stated there wa s reason to believe' that there was a considerable amount of sheep-stealing in the Hawke's Bay district, lint reliable evidence of losses by theft was hard to obtain. Tlie question, the report added, was to be discussed tit the conference of the New Zealand Federation of Sheepowners with the view of urging the Government to promote more effective action by the police.
