Donatello 11, who was the leading two-year-old in Italy last season, and who ran second to Clairvoyant in the Grand Prix de Paris last month, has been purchased by the French sportsman, M. Edward Esmond, for £45,000. Donatello 11, the best two-year-old in Italy last season, is by Blenheim out of Delleana. A nice-tempered, strong, powerful colt, he carried everything before him in his two-yar-old career with the greatest of ease.
