Skippers Limited The secretary of Skippers, Limited, reports that the testing of the hydro-elec-tric installation has proved successful, as, with the exception of some delay occasioned through adjustments to one of the gears, no other trouble was encountered, and the plant is now ready to be nut in operation. The frosts this year were of an exceptionally severe nature aud interruption in production could not have been avoided. The latest reports indicate somewhat milder weather and it is expected that sluicing could, be resumed at an early date. It was impossible to wash up the gold produced from the overburden before work ceased, owing to the boxes having frozen up, but the recent milder weather has enabled the wash-up to be completed, and the yield amounted to approximately 26 ounces. As stated, this only represents gold from overburden, as the bottom has not been worked yet, aud therefore must be considered satisfactory.
