— Ministerial. The Hon. P. C. "Webb, Acting-Minis-ter of Labour, returned to Wellington, from the north last night. Mr. W. H. Gordon, Dunedin, arrived at Wellington from the south in yesterday’s steamer express. Mr. E. J. Fawcett returned to Wellington from the south yesterday in the steamer express. Mr. and Mrs. S. Whyte, Dunedin, • were passengers to Wellington in yes- , terday’s steamer express. Mr. V. Spain, Dunedin, was among the passengers in yesterday’s steamer express. Mr. N. Falconer, Lyttelton, arrived at Wellington from the south yesterday. Dr. and Mrs. J. T. Harding, Petone, were passengers to Auckland by lastnight’s Limited express. Mr. D. O. 'Whyte returned to Wellington from Christchurch by the steamer express yesterday. Mr. and Mrs. H. F. Blatch, Invercargill, arrived at Wellington from the south yesterday. Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Russell, Invercargill, were passengers to Wellington by yesterday’s steamer express. Mr. F. Menneer returned to 'Wellington from the south by yesterday’s steamer express.
Mr. S. Carpenter, Mount Cook, was a passenger to Wellington by the steamer express yesterday. Mr. J. Coffey, Greymouth, was among the passengers to Wellington by yesterday’s steamer express.
Mr. 11. B. Christie, Lyttelton, arrived at Wellington yesterday by the steamer express.
Mr. A. G. Young, Oarnaru, arrived at Wellington by the steamer express from the south yesterday. Mr. A. G. Faster, Tlmaru, was among yesterday’s passengers in the steamer express.
Mr. P. E. Neilson, Tlmaru, arrived at Wellington from the south by the steamer express yesterday. Mr. J. S. Ross and Mr. J. Evans, of Messrs. Ross and Glendining, Limited, lefts for Auckland yesterday by the afternoon train.
Mr. and Mrs. E. Mayn and Miss P. Mayn, Dunedin, were passengers to Wellington by yesterday’s steamer express.
Mr. J. Cook, freight manager for the Port, Line in Sydney, left Wellington last.night for Auckland, where he is to join the Port Fremantle for London. Dr. Henry Field, professor of education at Canterbury University College, arrived at Wellington yesterday in. the steamer express.
Mr. F. A. Laloli, mayor of Roxburgh, and Mrs. Laloli, arrived at Wellington by the steamer express yesterday on the first stage of a holiday visit to Australia.
Mr, H. D. Aclaud, Christchurch, is visiting Wellington to attend a meeting of the New Zealand Meat Producers’ Board, of which he is a member.
Dr.Mohn Plimmer and Mrs. Plimmer, Willis Street, left in the Maunganul yesterday on a two months’ visit to Sydney. Mrs. Plimmer's parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Burt, reside in Sydney. Mr. JI. E. Parton was re-elected president of the board of directors of the Christchurch Young Men’s Christian Association at the monthly meeting of the board held recently. Mr. J. Payne, assistant Australian Trade Commissioner, left Wellington last night for Auckland to meet the Hon, K. G. Casey, Treasurer to the Commonwealth of Australia, who is on his way back from London. Mr. H. N. Holmes, who at one time was secretary of the Y.M.C.A. in Wellington, .and is now organising secretary of the Federation of Peace through the Churches, is to visit New Zealand next year, according to private advice received from him by the last mail.
