Dr. William Boyd, Glasgow, in a New Education Fellowship conference address at 'Wellington last night, said that on the trip out he had studied New Zealand women on the ship. “They struck me as pleasant people with quiet eyes and quiet minds,” lie said. “1 ptis.-ed this impression to a fellow woman traveller, and she replied: ‘Pleasant, but dull 1’ ”
