CAUSE OF DISASTER
Airship Hindenburg Washington, July 21. The Department of Commerce in its final report on tlie disaster to the airship Hindenburg attributed the disaster to a- discharge of static electricity igniting a mixture of free hydrogen and air accumulating in the upper stern, following a leak of hydrogen from the vicinity of cells four and five. Commander Rohendahl, of the Lakehurst naval air station, expressed the opinion that sabotage still remained a possible cause of the disaster.
